Fences

Many people like the idea of installing fences around the perimeter of their property. Not only can fences look nice, but they define your property and keep your pets and kids in and strange dogs out. When you choose fencing, you certainly have lots of options. Sure you can choose a chain link fence, but why when you can get an invisible fence or a picket fence? Invisible fences are usually used when you have pets or other animals that you wish to keep in a certain area. Picket fences are cute more for looks than security. Here is a closer look at fences and what a fence can do for you.

Vinyl Fence: A vinyl fence is both versatile and cost effective. These fences look very nice and you can find several different heights and styles of these kinds of fences. Vinyl fencing is also popular because they are weather resistant and require little to no maintenance in the long term. You can also find other vinyl accessories, such as gazebos and patio furniture to match your new fence. Many times you can buy these fences made out of recycled materials.

Dog Fence: If you have a dog, then you probably have some sort of dog fence to prevent your dog from wandering off of your property. An electric dog fence is not like an invisible fence because it does have electrical wires running across. An electric fence is pretty dangerous and is usually used for live stock, or high security areas. These should never be used around children or pets. A more humane dog fence is more like invisible fences or chain link fences. You can have an invisible fence installed around your property and these are often popular choices for pet owners.

Horse Fencing: Horse fencing is normally easy to install. It is generally made of wood and they are just high enough so the horse cannot wander off. Three horizontal slats generally characterize horse fencing and “x” wood slats over the front.

Wood Fencing: A wood fence is probably the most popular. You can find variations of wood fencing just about anywhere you look. If you live in the suburbs, chances are, you have a 6-foot or an 8-foot wood fence around your property, especially around your backyard. These are very attractive and can be painted or stained to last longer. Steel post will last much longer than wooden post. These are more desirable than an aluminum fence.
